The Tengboche Monastery is located high in the Himalayas en route to Everest Base Camp. The monastery/village offers an incredible view of Mount Everest. The view is, of course, also visible from a toilet at the monastery. Beneath Dover Castle (Kent, UK) are secret wartime tunnels. They are located within the famous 'white cliffs of Dover' and, would you believe it, are home to a loo with a view. The loo has a window through the cliff that looks out over Dover Harbour. It would have offered a view of the small ships returning from Dunkirk in 1940. The loo is one of the last things you see on a fascinating guided tour of the tunnels. This video gives more information about the castle/tunnels. A great day out.
